Forklift Types
We hold full accreditation to provide comprehensive forklift training services. We offer a variety of training courses such as courses for beginners, those in need of refresher training, individuals seeking supervisory skills, and more.
These courses are done on a variety of different forklift trucks to suit your needs. Some of the trucks we do training on include counterbalance, reach, and multi directional.
Forklift Types
Counterbalance
Counterbalance forklifts have a weighty counterbalance at the rear of the vehicle, which offsets the weight of the load being lifted, making them suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor tasks.
Reach
Reach forklifts are commonly used in warehouses and distribution centers where space is limited, as their ability to reach high and narrow spaces makes them ideal for stacking and retrieving pallets and goods.
Pivot Steer
Pivot steer forklifts have a flexible joint in the middle that allows the rear part of the vehicle to pivot independently from the front. This enables them to maneuver easily in confined areas, making them especially suitable for warehouses with limited space.
Medium/High Level Order Pickers
These forklifts are equipped with a raised platform that allows an operator to access and retrieve goods from shelves or racks at medium to high levels, typically between 2 to 10 meters (6.5 to 33 feet) above the ground.
Multi Directional
Unlike traditional forklifts that primarily move forward and backward, multi-directional forklifts can move forward, backward, sideways, and even diagonally. This unique ability is achieved through specialized wheel configurations, including swiveling wheels or all-wheel steering.
Powered Pallet Trucks
Also known as electric pallet movers, are primarily used for ground-level material handling tasks, such as loading and unloading trucks, transporting pallets within a facility, and restocking shelves.
Transportable (Truck Mounted)
These forklifts are typically mounted at the rear of a delivery truck or trailer and securely fastened for transportation. When the vehicle reaches its destination, the forklift can be quickly detached and used to unload or load goods at the site.
Side Loader
designed for the handling of long and bulky loads, such as lumber, pipes, or sheet materials, in narrow aisles and tight spaces. What sets them apart is their ability to load and unload materials from the side.
Telescopic & Rough Terrain
Both types of forklifts are well-suited for outdoor work and are designed to handle rough conditions, making them valuable tools in industries that require heavy lifting and mobility in challenging settings.
Skid Steer
What makes skid steer forklifts unique is their ability to pivot the wheels on one side independently of the other. This feature allows them to turn in a very tight radius, making them highly maneuverable in confined spaces.
